The Seiko Wave - New Models!

It’s safe to say that most people in watch collecting have heard of, or come across the brand, Seiko. One of the oldest and most prolific brands in watchmaking, Seiko is one of the most prominent players in both quartz and mechanical technology and has created some of the most exciting innovations to wristwatches.

Seiko has a rich history which dates back over 130 years. The brand started in 1881 when 21-year-old Kintaro Hattori opened a shop in beautiful Ginza (Central Tokyo) that specialized in repairing clocks. Fast forward to the present day, Seiko has become one of the top innovators in quartz and mechanical wristwatch design. The rapid growth from such humble beginnings was brought about by Kintaro’s energy and skill but, most of all, by his vision that his company and its products should be “Always one step ahead of the rest.”
