The Mido Ocean Star 39mm is almost a perfect watch. The black/blue dial is a perfect match with the black/blue bezel insert. In different light and positions, the watch looks all black. With a 39mm case diameter, 45mm lug to lug and a thinkness of only 10.5mm, this is a perfectly sized skin diver. I am please that the movement is the Caliber 72, an upgraded, modified ETA 2892 and not the Powermatic 80, which is an upgraded, modified ETA 2824. I am not a fan of the Powermatic 80, I would much prefer a the ETA 2824 over the Powermatic. The watch has been on my wrist since I unboxed it, and it is running +5 seconds per day. Excellent results. The only nitpick that I have is the bracelet. It is a good bracelet, but the on the fly divers extension is a 1st gen offering that could be found on ealier microbrands. At the listed price, the bracelet should be equipt with a much better on the fly extension. However, all and all IMHO, it is almost a perfect watch. Mido is a brand that seems to be flying under the radar. I think people should be paying mare attention to this excellent brand from the Swatch Group. I highly recommend this watch be added to any watch enthusiasts collection,
